Emotional Freedom Technique
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is commonly referred to as psychological acupressure, or tapping. The therapy aims to release emotional blockages within the body's energy system. EFT can be beneficial in overcoming negative beliefs, emotions and thought patterns, reduce anxiety over exams or driving test etc., chronic pain, cravings, phobias, past trauma, etc.
EFT works on the premise that the body contains energy channels. When these energy channels become blocked or unbalanced, it is believed to lead to emotional and physical illness.
Tapping can release these blockages so that the energy can then flow, allowing the anxiety, stress, pain etc. to be processed in a healthier way.
Whatever the presenting issue, there is usually an underlying reason for it. EFT works on getting to the underlying reason and helping to resolve it.
